We arrived at the train station located at 330 S. Sierra Avenue in Oakdale shortly before the train was ready to leave. Upon entering the area for ticket pick up, my boys eyes lit up. There were so many different train items for children to check out, and even some for the older population. You could even take a seat to relax prior to onboarding the train.
Once we had obtained our tickets, we headed down to the line for our train car. We were greeted by staff that were ready to take us to our designated seats in the train car. My children loved the walk to the train car, which included some walk thrus that were rather tight and maze like. When we arrived in our assigned train car, we loved seeing it decorated for Christmas.
Our table was already set, with Christmas lists for the children, and coloring sheets for all. We had cookies and hot chocolate in our special mugs (that we got to keep!). We got comfortable and prepared ourselves for our ride through Oakdale and to hear the amazing story of Morgan and the Magical Christmas Train by Shelle Hart.
The train started, and we were greeted by our elf, Snowflake. She was dedicated to our train car and had so many games to keep the kids occupied.
While on the train ride, we met the conductor, Morgan, Teddy and Santa Claus himself! A banjo player made his rounds on the train, and we all sang Christmas Carols. We had so much fun, and the kids loved the time that we spent on the ride. This experience definitely got us in the Christmas spirit.
