Summer Reading 2014 has kicked off at the Stanislaus County Library!  They have a reading program for all ages!! Last day to pick up your reading log is July 26th, with all prizes needing to be claimed by August 2nd.  This is an amazing way to stimulate the minds of our children (and ourselves!) during summer!

Children Ages 0-8
  • Kids from birth through age 8 can get a reading log at any Stanislaus County Library branch.
  • Use the reading log to keep track of every DAY that they spend at least 20 minutes reading, or having someone read to them.
  • After 7 days of reading, kids can bring their reading log (signed by a parent) back to the library to collect a prize!
Children Ages 9-12 (Tween)
  • Kids from ages 9 through 12 can get a reading log at any Stanislaus County Library branch.
  • Use the reading log to keep track of every DAY that they spend at least 30 minutes reading, or having someone read to them.
  • After 7 days of reading, kids can bring their reading log (signed by a parent) back to the library to collect a prize!
Teens Ages 13-18
  • Teens may pick up a bingo card at any Stanislaus County Library branch.
  • Pick a square, choose a genre, and read for at least 1 hour. You don't need to read for an hour straight.
  • After 7 days of reading, if you have a column or row finished come get a prize!
  • One log per teen .
  • Turn in a completed Bingo Log to be entered in a drawing for a Nook e-reader!
Adults
  • Read or listen to a book.
  • Fill out a review sheet and return to any Stanislaus County Library branch.
  • Each review is an entry into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate to Amazon.com.
  • Reading to kids? Listening to audiobooks? Fill out a review and enter!
  • The more books you read the better your chance to win!
