As we enter the season of giving, what better way to make an impact than by supporting our local teachers and students? DonorsChoose, a platform where teachers can request funding for classroom projects, is the perfect place to make your generosity count this holiday season.
This year, Giving Tuesday falls on December 3rd, a global day dedicated to giving back. It's a fantastic opportunity to rally behind Modesto's educators, who are working tirelessly to inspire and educate our kids.
To celebrate the spirit of giving, Macaroni KID Modesto is thrilled to feature five incredible local teachers whose DonorsChoose projects we’ve chosen to spotlight this month:
- Ms. King & Math and Organization: Two Peas in a Pod – Help me give my students the best materials to help with their learning. Everything listed will be utilized to help aid them in the classroom.
- Ms. Martinez & Headphones Help Us Stay Focused During Computer Time! –Help me give my students headphones to use in our 21st century classroom!
- Mrs. Pieczarka & Inspiring Transitional Kindergarten Learners to Do Their Best!– Help me give my students art and language arts materials to inspire learning!
- Ms. Torres & A Bean Bag a Day Keeps the Students at Bay – Help me give my students a comfortable seating option while being vulnerable and diving deep into their emotions in our counseling sessions because they cannot focus on the academics until their mental health is supported.
- Mrs. Gonzalez-Martinez & Wild’n Book Novel Study– Help me give my students a class read aloud they will love and learn so much about!
These projects range from providing art supplies to STEM kits, ensuring Modesto’s students have the tools they need to thrive.
