In 2025, Macaroni KID Modesto proudly supported local nonprofits through small but mighty acts of partnership — from event-promotion donations and calendar features to complimentary advertising upgrades and community shout-outs.
In 2026, we’re growing that mission.
We are excited to introduce Macaroni KID Modesto Heart of the Community, a new initiative designed to amplify the work of nonprofits making a meaningful difference for children and families in our community.
Each year, one outstanding local nonprofit will be selected as a Macaroni KID Heart of the Community and awarded a $3,525 in-kind marketing grant to help expand their reach and elevate their impact.
What Is a Macaroni KID Heart of the Community?
A Macaroni KID Heart of the Community is a nonprofit organization whose mission aligns with supporting families, creating memorable experiences for children, and strengthening our local community.
The selected organization will receive a year-long advertising and promotional partnership with Macaroni KID Modesto, including premium placement for their largest annual fundraiser.
What the Heart of the Community Receives
✔️ 12-month sidebar advertisement on Macaroni KID Modesto
✔️ Upgraded business directory listing
✔️ Ultimate Event Spotlight for your largest annual fundraiser
✔️ In-article cross-links within relevant Macaroni KID Modesto guides (when applicable)
✔️ Concierge support and periodic bonus exposure when inventory allows
Who Should Apply
We invite applications from:
- Registered nonprofits serving Modesto communities
- Organizations that serve children and families or create experiences that help families make memories
- Groups with a demonstrated commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and diversity
Application Window & Selection
- Applications open: January 1 – January 12, 2026
- Heart of the Community announced: End of January 2026
- One nonprofit selected as the 2026 Macaroni KID Modesto Heart of the Community
What We Ask in the Application
Applicants will be asked to share:
- An overview of your mission, primary programs, and who you serve
- How your work supports children and families in making meaningful memories
- Ways your organization promotes inclusion, accessibility, and diversity
- Details about your largest annual fundraiser and how an Ultimate Event Spotlight could help
- A point person for listings and communications
- Willingness to list Macaroni KID Modesto as a partner on your website or materials (optional — saying no will not disqualify you)
- Commitment to submit your events to the Macaroni KID Modesto calendar or assign a volunteer to assist with listings

In addition to the Heart of the Community program, Macaroni KID Modesto regularly supports local nonprofits through:
- Event-promotion donations and calendar features to help spread the word to local families
- Complimentary advertising upgrades when available
- In-kind partnerships, barters, and hosted coverage for mission-aligned programs
- Discounted advertising packages designed to meet nonprofit budgeting needs
