After the success of our last event, we’re excited to announce another FREE Kids Clothing Swap happening this spring at the Salida Library! This family-friendly community event is a great way to refresh your kids’ wardrobes, share gently used clothing, and support local families — all at no cost.
✨ NEW this time: We will have a dedicated rack of PROM dresses available! If you have a gently used prom dress you’d love to pass on to another teen, bring it along and help make someone’s special night even more memorable.
What Is a Kids Clothing Swap?
Families are invited to bring clean, gently used children’s clothing and swap with others in the community. Clothing will be available for kids of all ages and sizes.
We’ll also have:
- A limited number of tables for adult clothing for moms and dads (please no more than 5 adult pieces to share)
- A special rack of prom dresses for teens getting ready for prom season 👗
♻️ It’s eco-friendly, budget-friendly, and a fun way to connect with other local families!

Important Swap Guidelines
To keep things fair and enjoyable for everyone, please note:
- All clothing must be CLEAN and in usable condition
- No shoes, accessories, or toys, please
- We do not accept pre-donations, as we have no space to store items at home. Donations can be brought starting at 11:00 AM on the day of the event
- If you are not bringing clothing to swap, please do not arrive right at the start time, as clothing will not be available yet
- Have a prom dress to donate? I can pick up the week before to have it ready for the event! Email me at xochitl@macaronikid.com
Who Can Attend?
This event is FREE and open to everyone in the community. Whether you’re swapping a few items or just want to participate later in the event, we’d love to have you join us.
